After another wet week , the Emering Nomads fixture was moved to Vagabonds in order that the game could be completed.
The weather played ball for a change , and albeit cold, lead to a great game of Rugby with plenty of variety.
Both teams were bolstered with the addition of some first teamers but no side over using them.
Emerging Nomads took an early knock with the loss of Nick Mawby from the front row , in fact, I thought he was subbing as he was off before I made it to pitch side and I was sure I saw the kick off when i drove in !
‘Scouse’ brought along down ‘Brother Scouse’ who it turns out had been afforded the majority of the Edge family sporting talent . He broke the Vagas defence on the halfway line with only the Full Back to beat , and with a cheeky ‘ Whammo-esque’ shuffle ( Whammo take note , this is how its really done ) left the Full Back sprawling on the ground not knowing where his adversary had gone ! A fantastic try.
Vagas scored a try too somewhere but it wasn’t nearly as exciting !
A couple of penalties were also exchanged and the score finished Emerging Nomads 10 – Vagabonds 2′s 13.
I am now realising that as I am to be writing these reports I must make notes either at or shortly after the game , otherwise I just forget all the details ! If anyone feels there is more to add just let me know…….. !
All joking apart, this was a great game and again shows the great strides that are being made in the 2nds. Definitely a few in the first team who will feel the second team nipping at their heels pushing for selection !
Also a Thank you to Vagabonds for allowing the late change of venue.
Not just the Seniors that are getting to go off Isle, our Juniors can get in the mix too !

On what was what can only be described as nothing short of a hideous day Emeging Nomads took on Castletown at Poulsom Park.
Having battled hard last week but unfortunately ending the 4 game winning streak the lads went out to prove that the streak was no fluke.
The team did us proud running away with a 25 – 12 win. This is a fantastic result and shows the strength in depth that Nomads are developing and what we are trying to build.
Al Corrin – penalty & con
Dave Edge – penalty & con
