Hello !

Has been mentioned that we have been too reliant on Facebook for fixtures and other news so will try to keep this posted too !

Currently fixtures in a right mess and doing all we can to sort !   Shortage of pitches – teams to play – weather has taken its toll

We have the seconds and Poulsom Park this weekend , thank you to C/town for again letting us use their pitch, this may be their last competitive fixture – however they will be looking for the 60+ points needed against Ramsey this weekend in order to progress to the finals !  – AND I FOR ONE WOULD LOVE TO SEE IT !

We were looking at the first team having to play 3 games in 10 days – with some creative thinking and agreement from ourselves and other clubs we have been able to move away from this. Unfortuanately within 24hrs of that being agreed Vagas were informed that they have to play a postponed fixture in order that Marple try to avoid relegation, out of their control, and so we lost out on the 3/4th play off scheduled for the 27th.  However Gaff has suggested we play a Barbarian style side in order to avoid a 9 week lay off – he is working hard on this and things look positive – will keep you posted.

Shimmin Wilson Finals Day

As an end of season hurrah – we are looking to have Castletown vs Emerging Nomads for the Bunters Cup and Nomads vs Western Vikings for the JJ Memorial Trophy – this will be a super saturday – provisional for the 8 June at Poulsom – BBQ and beers with a social do later on – AJ has said he can do a race night so shaping up to be good’n !

Southern Nomads win Shimmin Wilson Shield!

After a tight match vs Douglas, PDMS Southern Nomads pulled off an 8-7 win to be crowned the champions!

Great to see that we are now being given the chance to play these games , a big nod that they feel we are worthy of it.

So lets all get down to to Douglas and support the lads , another Trophy is up for Grabs !  

Following our game is the Manx Cup Final , a great day out for all the family , or an excuse to try and avoid the wife !

On neutral ground at Mooragh Park (Ramsey) – 2.15 Kick off !

Do all you can to get down support  and lets get another title !

Our 1st XV have qualified for the Cheshire Plate Final which is to be played at New Brighton RUFC in Cheshire on the 07th April 2012.

The game is against Prenton RUFC.

PDMS Southern Nomads are the 1st Manx side to reach this stage of the competition and so it is a massive achievement.

Players are to Fly out on the morning of the 7th for a 1.30pm kick off , overnighting in Chester returning on the Sunday Evening.
